Looks great to me, does this mean that Ground Maintenance committee will be no more? Looks like most (if not all) of their responsibilities would pass to OSDGT?

Omelette - Pah!

We are making a Soufflé with all the finest ingredients (vegan versions also available). A HUGE THANK YOU to the members who have done the hard slog over the years in keeping Clapton out the hands of the corrupt and more importantly, doing the right thing by the club and the community in nestles within. On top of that, achieving what no other Clapton management team in its history has done as we are now custodians of bit of earth that we can share with like minded souls.

Is there any details on what the money will be spent on? Groundwork, scaffolding?

The three working groups - Grounds, Clubhouse and Bar - will be updating initial 'guesstimate' budgets but we've only just got in and had only limited opprtunities to inspect. There'll be a growing list:
• inspect sewerage for possible misconnections and options for an accessible toilet
• asbestos survey
• inspect roof to cost up repairs
• full electrical inspection (excluding floodlights)
• service and testing of gas boiler in clubhouse, gas safety certification
• regularise utilities supplies, perhaps we'll need new electricity, gas and water supplies to the clubhouse and other ancillary buildings
• most urgent tree surgery work, with a TPO planning app for 3 years
• purchase of grounds maintenance equipment
• structural surveys of the '94 seated stand and the old scaffold, then - if sound - replacement of the flooring of the '94 stand which is condemned, possible retention and refurbishment of the old scaffold also condemned, probable removal of the new scaffold, also condemned
• repairs to all concrete hardstanding and terracing, currently condemned

I'm not going to go on now, might edit later, but last autumn members received our own surveyor's Ground Report from the October 3rd site visit for all of the longer term work to attain Step 5 ground grading.

How much did the freehold set us back, out of interest? A figure of £XXk has been tweeted out, but I don't see any member communication on this. The £13.3k p.a. in the proposal is presumably the mortgage repayment? Would be great to see some income/profit projections for the Trust if anyone has them (or can point them out).
